You have important work to do. You also need to take care of yourself and your people so you can get the job done, keep those you serve happy, and achieve the results you want. How you engage, support, and inspire those around you can mean the difference between success and frustration.
Many professionals feel they lack the skills and training needed to lead effectively, especially through times of change or difficulty. I work with new and experienced leaders, in a variety of sectors and industries, who want to find the potential in themselves and others, and have the courage to grow and develop it.

Coaching for Leaders in Law
While I love working with leaders from a wide range of sectors and industries, many of my clients are lawyers and leaders in law because of my professional background. I practiced law and held senior management and executive level leadership positions in the justice system for over twenty years. I enjoy working with leaders at all levels in law, helping them to manage the competing demands of practice, deal with conflict productively, support and develop their teams, and lead with head and heart.

The Coaching Process
Before starting, I will meet with you to assess your needs, and whether or not we’re a good fit. Based on our initial discussion, I will provide recommendations on length and frequency of engagement, and an overview of all fees. If you decide you are interested in coaching with me, I will ask you to complete a discovery form which will help me to get to know your strengths, values, challenges, and goals.
Scheduling Coaching Sessions
After a signed contract is in place, sessions are scheduled as much in advance as possible. For most clients, I recommend 60-minute sessions held two or three times a month by phone or online video session.
Goal Setting and Planning
In our first session, I will be eager to learn more about you and your goals and desired outcomes, so we can create a roadmap to track your progress. If new challenges or goals come up, we can address these during sessions, schedule extra time, or adjust the roadmap as needed.
“There is a tremendous value in coaching to anyone from all walks of life but especially for professionals and leaders it is the one thing you cannot afford not having. A great coach like Karmen will bring you the mirror that reflects your strengths and weaknesses, hidden fears and obstacles that are very difficult to see on your own. You will get a candid exploration of who you are as a person and professional, and she will guide you through mapping out the road for the best you can dream of.” -L.J.
“Since having coaching with Karmen I feel more confident that I can prepare myself to handle anything that might arise.” -Erica G.
